How he works
“My practice is about listening to and understanding each case individually, and offering accurate diagnoses and clear, personalized treatment plans.”
Who is Dr. Julián Carrillo?
Dr. Julián Octavio Carrillo González is a neurosurgeon certified by the Mexican Council of Neurology (certificate No. 492), with 27 years of experience in Ciudad Juárez. He treats brain and spine conditions, with a subspecialty in spine surgery, and his patients know him for explaining things calmly and not recommending unnecessary surgery.
Where did he train?
He studied medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and specialized in neurosurgery, with a subspecialty in spine surgery. He has kept up continuous training in minimally invasive surgical techniques and neuronavigation, which allow more precise surgery and a faster recovery.
Where does he practice?
He sees patients at Hospital Ángeles Ciudad Juárez, 6th floor, office 675, where he also operates. Throughout his career he has treated patients in the public health system, including IMSS General Hospital No. 6, which has given him experience with cases of every level of complexity.
What is a visit with him like?
First he listens to your story and reviews your imaging with you. Then he explains what you have, what the options are and why he recommends one over another. Surgery is one of those options, not the starting point: many of his patients improve with conservative treatment and follow-up. Some still see him more than 20 years after their first visit.
